The treatment of organic sewage containing sorbitol, mannitol, sucrose, vinyl acetate and methyl cellulose by acidified hydrolysis, activated sludge and biological contact oxidation process was described. This process has some virtues, such as stable water quality of effluent, easy operation, convenient management, low energy consumption, and etc. This process is an effective method for this kind of organic sewage treatment.
