对外贸易是国家经济发展的重要推动力。西部地区要加快发展 ,必须扩大对外贸易。西北地区对外贸易的突破口就是要扩大中亚五国的贸易 ,加强与中亚地区的经济与技术合作 ,进而发展横贯整个亚欧的大陆桥经济区。从贸易的收入效应和资本积累效应、技术交流效应和就业效应、规模效应和联动效应等几个方面 ,探讨了通过深化改革开放扩大贸易的可行性和必要性 。

Foreign trade is an important force in developing a nation's economy.To accelerate the development,it is inevitable in west China to expend foreign trade,especially on the borders.The northwestern regions will enlarge the trade with five central Asian regions,strengthen the economic and technological cooperation with Asian regions,and further develop the rans Europe and Asian economic zome.The article explores the feasibility and necessity of promoting border trade via deepening reform and opening reform and opening concerning the following three aspects:the effect on increasing income and accumulating fund:the effect on promoting technological exchanges and creating jobs;the effect on enlarging trade scope and improving the linkage.Furthermore,it proposes the relevant policy and theory regarding the practical choices in foreign trade.
