Different kingdoms had different calendars during the Spring-Autumn Warring Period. May 5 Taboo was originally the custom of Jin and Qi kingdoms in the north, which later began to influence the whole country. This custom initially had nothing to do with QU Yuan. During the period of late Han and Nanbei dynasties, the suspicious custom in the north and the movement to save QU Yuan in the south were combined to shape the complete custom of the Dragon Boat Festival. The Dragon Boat Race, one of the important contents for the Festival became popular in Tang Dynasty. This Festival makes QU Yuan remembered forever.
