The Design of a Web-based Learning Intelligence Evaluation System Using Electronic Learning Records

摘要 电子学档是实现学习过程评价的有力工具,笔者在参考CELTS中学习者相关规范的基础上,设计了适用于网络单习评价的电子学档。并构建了基于电子学档的网络学习智能评价系统模型。 Electronic learning records are a powerful tool for evaluating the learning process. This author has designed electronic learning records for evaluating web-based learning after referencing various learner-related standards in the Chinese E-learning Technology Standard (CELTS), namely, CELTS-11: Learner Model, CELTS-13: Student Identifiers and CELTS-14: Competency Definition. The following five components are included: personal particulars of students, academic background, record of learning activities, portfolio and evaluation details. Apart from the three basic elements of curriculum learning, assignments and assessment as well as problem-solving and discussion often found in conventional programs, this author holds the view that web-based courses should also include the creation of learning records and the completion of evaluation questionnaires. An information-collecting device should be constructed to keep track of students' learning process, and to input this information into the relevant database. The information recorded in each sub-database is first classified and then saved to the corresponding category in the electronic learning record. With reference to the various benchmarks, these data can be processed by an intelligent evaluation system and to obtain a comprehensive evaluation of students' learning performance.
