为了改进光纤性能,使光纤适合在室内及野战通信、舰船、飞行器等特种场合中应用,需要在一次被覆后的光纤上涂覆缓冲层。缓冲层涂料一般采用紫外固化方式。紫外固化光纤缓冲层涂料性能,主要考虑的是缓冲层涂料的光固化速度、缓冲层的强度、缓冲层的剥离力及缓冲层的附加损耗等性能。有机硅涂料是以有机硅聚合物或有机硅改性聚合物为主要基体的涂料,性能优异,可以作为缓冲层涂料使用。
In order to improve optical fiber performance and make the fiber appropriate to be used in special applications, such as indoor and field communications, warships and flight vehicles, the optical fiber should be coated with a buffer after its primary coating. The buffer coating usually uses UV curing technology. As for the performance of UVcured optical fiber buffer coating, the main concerns are the curing speed, strength, stripping force and additional loss of the buffer layer. Organosilicon coating, whose main matrixes are organosilicon polymer and organosilicon modified polymer, possesses various superior properties, and can be used as buffer coating.
