On the Functions and Significance of Humane Education

现代教育应是科学教育与人文教育交融而形成一个整体的“绿”色教育。科学与人文同源共生,互通互动,相异互补。人文是为人之本,是民族存亡之根。文章主要着重从五个方面分析了人文文化在教育中的作用和意义,并指出人文教育的核心就是培养出对社会、对人民、对自己从事的事业高度负责的一代新人。

Modern education should be 揼reen ? which involves education of science and humanity .On one hand, science and humanity originate from the same source, combine and complement with each other. On the other hand, humanity is the root of a nation as well as the basis of a person. In the essay, the writer analyzes the functions and significance of humane education from five aspects, and points out that the core of humane education is to cultivate a new generation dedicated to the society, the people and their own career.
