The Application of Emotional Intelligence in the Nurse－patient communication

Emotional intelligence(EI)is a relative new concept.It has an important role in the nurse-patient communication.At present,the media have a tendency to overdrawing the scholarly sense of EI.The article contrasts 2 current models of EI,which will help the people to have a more rational understanding.Then,the author indicates the relationship between EI and communication in the clinical nursing,and the application of the EI in the nurse-patient communication are discussed.
