江泽民总书记的“三个代表”重要思想对高校图书馆工作具有深远的指导意义。高校图书馆应从着力开发文献信息资源 ,搞好精神文明建设 ,全心全意为读者服务等 3个方面贯彻和实践“三个代表”重要思想 ,为此要注重图书馆员队伍的建设。

The important idea of the 'Three Represents' put forword by Jiang Ze-min,the general secretary of the CPC Central Committee,plays a significant guiding role in the library work of institutions of higher learning. To better implement and practise the important thought,the college library should regard the building of a qualified staff as the top priority, focus their efforts on the exploitation of documentary and information resources,emphasize the construction of spiritual civilization and serve the readers whole-heartedly.
