3G升温,标准选择是着力点
最近一段时间,关心中国电信产业发展的人都会发现,业界对3G的讨论与关注有些日嚣甚上的感觉.与2000年左右的3G热潮相比,现在的3G升温显得更具现实性,也更加理性化了.拨开3G升温中的各种"喧嚣的外衣",抛开其中种种推波助澜的因素,我们就会发现:3G标准的选择是各方真正较劲的着力点.信息产业部日前根据对移动通信产业上半年的统计数据,指出我国移动通信产业发展所面临的五大问题中,标准问题是目前3G产业面临的一个主要问题.
Since IMT-2000 was raised by ITU in 1985, 3G and its standards
have been attracting all our attentions all along. Especially in recent, discussions
and all opinions about 3G become hotter and hotter in China. Then it comes into
our mind that what is behind the phenomenon of 3G's warming. And it also stimulates other
queries about the development of 3G in China: How will 3G's licenses be delivered in China?
Will TD-SCDMA have a bright future? Are all the 3G related entities in China prepared well
for 3G?
In order to have a clear answer to all those questions, in this issue 'New Telecom Salon' focuses on the development of 3G in China. The specialists in the industry are invited to discuss all related things about this subject. In particular there is one thing we'd like to point out: many interviewees politely refused our invitation. Their reasons are also exactly the same: 'the topic of 3G now in China is too hypersensitive!'
