对第3代移动通信系统的发展历史和现状的作了简要回顾，分析了第3代移动通信系统的主要关键技术，如：分集接收、信道编译码和智能天线等，最后对其未来发展作了展望。

A comprehensive review of the mobile communications is introduced in this paper. The key techniques that would be involved in the third generation mobile communication system(3G) are addressed, such as diversity receiver, channel encoder and decoder, smart antenna etc. The perspective of 3G system is also given in this paper.
