法律人格或者“法律人”是现代法治社会不可或缺的重要因素和前提条件。我国公民普遍的法律人格缺失是制约我国法治发展的重要因素之一。造成我国公民法律人格相对缺失的原因是多方面的。构建公民法律人格是一个系统工程 ,需要一个长期的过程 ,只有在我国社会现代化的进程中才能完成对我国公民法律人格的塑造。

Legal personality or 'lawful person'is an indispensable element in our present modern society of law and order.. A general lack of legal personalities among the citizens in China is one of the chief factors that hinder the smooth progress of the rule of law. There are many reasons that have caused this problem. It will take a long time to construct legal personalities of the citizens in China and it is also a systematic project. The legal personality of the citizens could only be shaped in the course of our socialist modernization.
