Positioning of city function is a central component of the general strategy if city development. As it develops towards future big city, the present function of local center and comprehensive medium-sized city of Tianshui will consequently change. According to an analysis of its advantages and future development, the future Tianshui should be a generally local center big industrial and trade city with a characteristic of culture and tourism.
