真正较为成熟的中国小说,首推唐人传奇,它当然是我国文学长期发展的结果,但在发展过程中,佛教对唐传奇表现题材的扩大、形象创造及结构方面的影响也是非常显著的,并使唐传奇在艺术上开拓出新的局面。
Short stories of the Tang Dynasty are the first real mature novels of China .Of course they were the result of long-term development of Chinese literature. But during the development, Buddhism affected them greatly on their subjects?enlargement, images?creation and structures. Moreover the short stories of the Tang Dynasty opened up a new prospect because of it.
