毛泽东的宪政思想缘起于新民主主义革命时期,在社会主义革命和社会主义建设的初期得到发展。民主集中制、党政分开、人民主权等原则是毛泽东宪政思想的主要特征。但是,因国内外条件的变化和毛泽东“左”倾思想的发展,毛泽东的宪政思想在其晚年发生了嬗变。

Mao Zedongs theory of constitutional politics began in New Democratic Revolution period, and developed in Socialist revolution and initial socialist constructing period. Democracy centralism, departure the right of the Party and the government, sovereignty by the People are its major features. But it had some transition in Maos late years, because the environment changed both in native and outside, and his leftist thoughts developed and ruling.
