从语义对应角度看汉语“心”的翻译

On the Translation of "心" from the Aspect of Semantic Correspondence

作为人体的主要器官之一 ,心被儒家、道家、佛教、理学、中医学以及文学家、社会学家利用并加以发挥 ,在汉语里具有极其丰富的内涵意义。本文分析了心的文化意义 ,心与英语里相关词语的语义对应模式 ,心在有关词语里的语法结构类型 ,最后指出“心”的正确翻译对跨文化交际具有重要作用。

In Chinese the word '心' has a very rich cultural meaning. It has been a notion adopted in many traditional Chinese religious beliefs and philosophical notions, like Confucius, Daoism, Buddhism and traditional Chinese medicine. This essay first briefly analyzes the cultural meaning of '心'from many aspects; then presents the patterns of semantic correspondence and the grammatical structure of the phrases with '心'. In the end several methods are put forward to translate the various words with '心' which is closely connected with cross-cultural activities.
