On the Discourse and Thought of Qian Zhong-shu on the Classical Style and the Vernacular

钱钟书学术著作中,文言、白话浅层之分的背后,是古典、现代两套诗学话语之分,更是传统、现代两套学术思维之分。然而,这种区分只是相对的,两套话语、两套思维又交融交错。因而,钱钟书的学术著作呈现出独特的学术风格。

Among the academic works of Qian Zhongshu, in the midst of the surface difference of the classical style and the vernacular exists not only the distinction of the classical and the modern poetic discourses but also the traditional and the modern academic thoughts. However, the kind of difference is relative, the discourses and the thoughts always emerge each other. So the academic works of Qian Zhongshu represents its unique academic style. 
