An Analysis of the Effect of Foreign Invested Enterprises on Suzhou′s Economic Growth

外商投资企业对苏州经济增长具有积极的作用。通过对外商投资企业生产函数和增长模型的实证研究表明,外商投资企业已由劳动密集型产业向资本密集型产业转移,而不是技术密集型,即对经济增长的效应是靠资本推动的,并非依靠技术进步。

This paper studies the relations between the development of foreign invested enterprises and Suzhou′s economic growth. We analyze the role of foreign investment in Suzhou's economy, empirical study suggests that foreign invested enterprises have transferred from laborintensive industry to capitalintensive industry, but not technology intensive industry.
