摘要
帝国大学预科如何通过免试升学制度与各地中学实现顺利衔接,在此过程中"设置区域"如何有效发挥相应作用。首先分析不同高等中学在招生过程中因对招生范围理解不同而产生矛盾,明确设置区域在招生、升学过程中的意义。然后围绕免试升学制度,分析普通中学如何实现与高等中学的衔接,尤其是因"设置区域"内外都会产生何种差异。通过聚焦1880年代普通中学与大学预科(高等中学)的衔接原理及其深层原因,力图揭开高等中学诞生之谜。
This paper reviews the matriculation process of colleges and how the middle schools got linked to colleges in the 1880s Japan. First, it analyzed the conflicts between different middle schools over the matriculation scope. Then it analyzed the connection between general middle schools and colleges. The paper intended to reveal the mystery of the birth of colleges through focusing on the reasons behind the connection between middle schools and colleges in Japan.
