摘要
文章以美国俄亥俄州立大学、斯坦福大学、北卡罗来纳大学教堂山分校3所各具特色的公立和私立大学为例,介绍美国"本科一年级计划"的项目实施内容、实施效果和项目特点。该计划主要包括入学前暑期阅读项目、入学适应项目、新生研讨课、领导力培养项目等内容,美国高校的"本科一年级计划"具有持续时间久、内容系统、形式多元、注重评估、全员育人等特点,效果评估调查显示该计划对保持学生在校率,提高学生入校后的学业成就,降低学业失败率有着重要作用。
Taking Ohio State University,Stanford University,University of North Carolina- Chapel Hill Chapel Hill,three universities as examples,this paper introduces the content,effect and characteristics of the First Year Experience Program. The project mainly includes pre- school summer reading programs,orientation programs,freshmen seminars,leadership development programs,etc.The First Year Experience Program is long- term,systematic and encompassing,taking pluralistic forms and paying attention to evaluation. A number of assessment surveys show that the First Year Experience Program plays an important role in keeping students in school,improving students 'academic achievement and lowering the rate for academic failure.
