摘要
首都高校毕业生在人口调控政策背景下,面对离京和留京总要做出一个艰难的选择,但选择背后的原因众说纷纭。本文利用"中国教育追踪调查"(CEPS)数据,以"在京工作"为核心变量,在控制离京留京影响因素和就业类型相关因素的基础上,分析了离京留京对非京籍毕业生就业选择和就业薪酬的影响。研究发现,首都高校在京工作的非京籍毕业生更愿意选择进入外资企业,而不愿意选择去国有企业工作。此外,在京工作并不影响毕业生的就业起薪,但对未来工资增长具有显著的正向效应。分学校层次来看,外资企业和国有企业之间就业选择的差异大多来自普通大学;精英大学毕业生离京选择会带来就业起薪的溢价,而普通大学毕业生的留京选择则能带来未来的工资增长。
For college students studying in Beijing,choosing to leave the city upon graduation can be a tough decision. Opinions vary about this thought-provoking social phenomenon which is not uncommon in China now. With the Chinese Educational Panel Survey,this paper controls the factors of working in Beijing and employment types,takes 'working in Beijing 'as the core variables,and analyzes its influences on job decision-making and salary especially for those graduates not born in Beijing. The study has found that these graduates who stay in Beijing are prone to work in foreign enterprises,not in state-owned enterprises and that although working in Beijing does not have any effect on the starting salary,it does exercise a significant positive impact on the increase of salaries. At the school level,great differences exist between working in foreign and stateowned enterprises merely for graduates from regular universities; leaving Beijing would lead to a starting wage premium for graduates from elite universities,while working in Beijing could greatly accelerate the growth of wages for graduates from regular universities.
