高效液相色谱柱前衍生法评估聚乙二醇分子质量及其分布

Determination of polyethylene glycol molecular weight and their distribution by high performance liquid chromatography coupled with pre-column derivatization

摘要 采用对甲氧基苯甲酰氯(PAC)将聚乙二醇(PEG)衍生为可紫外吸收的产物,再用配备紫外检测器的高压液相色谱检测。结果显示,随着PEG分子质量增加,衍生产物的保留时间缩短。PEG分子质量与衍生产物中最强峰的保留时间有良好的函数关系。小分子质量PEG的HPLC谱图呈非正态分布,大分子质量的PEG的HPLC谱图呈正态分布。该方法可以检出环氧树脂中的PEG400,检测最低极限为0.1%。 The polyethylene glycol(PEG) was derivatized to the products with UV absorption ability by p-methoxybenzoyl chloride(PAC)and then was detected by the high pressure liquid chromatography with ultraviolet detector. The results showed that the retention time of the derivatives was shortened with the increasing of PEG molecular weight. The molecular weight of PEG derivatives had good functional relationshiop with the highest peak retention time. The HPLC spectra of small molecular weight PEG showed a nonnormal distribution and the PEG with big molecular molecular weight showed a normal distribution. The PEG400 in the epoxy resin could be detected by this method and the lowest detection limit was 0.1%.
