New Thoughts on the Regional Integration of the Yangtze River Delta——From the Perspective of Socialism with Chinese Characteristics Entering a New Era

长三角区域一体化发展已上升为国家战略。适应新时代的基本特征,推动长三角一体化发展,必须立足更高起点,坚持党的领导、坚持理论武装、坚持不忘初心、坚持永不停步,把新时代改革开放伟大旗帜举得更高更稳,为走好新时代改革开放之路提供强大思想武器;必须通过长三角区域差异化一体化发展、高效率一体化发展、可持续一体化发展、共享性一体化发展,使三省一市的经济、社会、环境综合效益最大化,并实现更高质量的一体化发展;必须立足长三角经济更加集中、长三角生态更加安全、长三角文化更加融合、长三角社会更加公平等更高目标,构建更加广阔的实践舞台,为服务新时代国家发展的大局更好地发挥其重要支撑和引领作用。

The integrated development of the region of the Yangtze River Delta has been elevated to the status of national strategy. To adapt to the basic characteristics of the new era and promote the integration of the Yangtze River Delta, we must be based on a higher starting point, adhere to the Party’s leadership, enhance our theoretical competency, persist in remaining true to our original aspiration and keeping going, and hold higher the great banner of reform and opening up in the new era, so as to provide a powerful ideological weapon for the road of reform and opening up in the new era. We must try to make the integrated development of the Yangtze River Delta differentiated, efficient, sustainable and sharing-based, in order to maximize the economic, social, and environmental benefits of the three provinces and one city of the region, and achieve a higher-quality integrated development;we must try to obtain the goal of making the Yangtze River Delta have a more concentrated economy, safer ecological environment,deeper cultural fusion, and greater social fairness, build a broader stage for practice, and give full play to the role of the Yangtze River Delta in supporting and guiding the overall development of the country in the new era.
