The October Revolution in Russia is a historical choice,and its progressive significance and positive influence should not be underestimated.Lenin’s theory of socialist development is profound.His viewpoint that the understanding of socialism must change with the development of practice still has practical guiding significance.We should seriously study the achievements and problems in the socialist development of the Soviet Union.Eastern European countries either copied the Soviet model or were divorced from their national conditions or skipped stages,so all of them failed.China’s success has shown new prospects for world socialism and made important contributions to the cause of peaceful development of mankind.The dramatic changes in the Soviet Union and Eastern Europe have overhauled the international balance of power and the world strategic pattern.The world socialism will make bold innovations in the arduous exploration,develop vigorously in the comprehensive innovation,and embrace the future in the innovation-based development.The future development of world socialism will be more diverse in form and content.
