The present paper is a general review of subway network evolution in Paris with the highlights of construction process of the subway h'nes and the concepts concerning the network planning, construction, operation management etc. The authors hold that subway network evolution in Paris shall be an interesting reference for the urban railway transport development in Chinese metropolises.
