Call and Connection Control in Automatically Switched Optical Network

Distributed call and connection management for automatically switched network(ASON)was discuss in this paper.The recent de-velopment of ITU-T,IETF and OIF was introduced,which including ITU-T's standardization of distributed call and connection control management,IETF's standardization of GMPLS signaling protocol and OIF's study on UNI and NNI signaling.Then a systematic discussion about relationship of call and connection control was given.Finally,the call and connection setup and release considering the restoration of MESH network was discussed.
