摘要  Wolbachia是Hertige和Wolbach于1924年发现的一类以节肢动物、线虫等为宿主的细胞质共生微生物,具杆状和球状两种形态,通过雌虫传递给子代.Wolbachia并不直接关联宿主的营养,而是对宿主进行"生殖操作".介绍了关于Wolbachia引起宿主胞质不亲和、诱导孤雌生殖、引起雌性化及杀雄现象的研究进展. Many arthropods harbor intracellular bacteria of the genus Wolbachia. These maternityinherited symbionts cause various alterations in the reproduction of their hosts. The most common alteration is cytoplasmic incompatibility (CI). In diploids, CI results in a high rate of embryo mortality when the sperm of infected males fertilizes oocytes that are uninfected, or infected by another bacterial variant. Wolbachia bacteria also induce the lytokous parthenogenesis in a number of parasitoid wasps, convert genotypic males into phenotypic females in some terrestrial isopods and insects, and cause malekilling in some insects. This paper reviews all the research mentioned above.
