The object of this paper is to investigate the convergence of the mixed finite element method of the initial-boundary value problem of Sobolev equation -div{au t+b 1u}=fbased on the R-T space V h×W hH(div;Ω)×L 2(Ω).Optimal order L 2 norms error estimates are obtained.
