Patriotism without Reasons and Views on Patriotism in Industrialized Society——On Feng Youlan’s Patriotic Ideas

冯友兰作为哲学家、教育家,作为一名对国家饱含深情的爱国前辈,从哲学的角度分析了不同社会的爱国观,指出了工业化社会爱国观的特点,对中国传统的爱国精神加以发扬,并立足于中国文化传统,从个人境界论的角度指出了爱国与个人内心境界的关系,认为爱国关乎个人的境界,不需要理由,这对于当代爱国教育具有启发意义。

As a philosopher,educator,and patriotic predecessor with deep love for his country,Feng Youlan analyzed views on patriotism in different society from the standpoint of philosophy.He pointed out the characteristics of views on patriotism in industrialized society and carried forward the Chinese traditional patriotic spirit.Besides,based on Chinese cultural tradition,Feng Youlan revealed the relationship between patriotism and personal bourn from the perspective of the theory of personal bourn believing that patriotism related to personal bourn and this had no reasons,which has enlightening significance for contemporary patriotic education.
