Based on the discovery of semantic patterns in English phrasal verbs sharing the same particle,this article further explores the combinational and syntactical patterns in them.Then it discusses the significance of the patternized feature in reforming the current way of phrasal verb teaching,that is,the particlecentered approach should be adopted.
