东亚货币一体化:理论基础、可行性及前景瞻望

East Asian Monetary Integration: Theory, Possibility and Prospect

伴随着经济全球化的发展,区域货币一体化已成为一种新的潮流。特别是1997年亚洲金融危机所产生的严重后果,唤起了东亚各国对区域金融合作的极大关注。为了防止新的金融危机的爆发,应对世界范围内区域货币一体化潮流的强烈挑战,开展有效的地区货币合作。未来亚洲货币合作的发展前景,将集中于以下三个层次:首先应建立东亚区域性紧急融资机制;其次应改革东亚汇率制度安排,建立类似欧洲汇率机制(ERM)的亚洲汇率联动机制;最后逐步过渡到亚洲单一货币区(ACA)。总的来说,未来东亚货币一体化仍具有巨大的发展空间。

Along the development of economic globalization, regional monetary integration has become a new trend. The serious aftermath caused by Asian Financial Crisis in 1997 has aroused great attention towards regional financial cooperation among East Asian countries. In order to prevent a new financial crisis from breaking out and meet the blazing challenge of a worldwide tide of regional monetary integration , effective regional currency cooperation are necessary to be developed. Having enormous differences in aspects of politics, economics as well as culture and ideology, East Asian countries and region don't possess much possibilities of forming an optimum currency area. However, the pressing reality has compelled more and more East Asian countries to participate in the grand historical course of regional currency cooperation. In the future East Asian monetary integration still has a great prospect.
