Objective To investigate the features of vital signs of cats with craniocerebral missile wound in the environment of high temperature and humidity. Methods 20 cats were divided into: (1) normal control group, (2) normal gunshot wound group, (3) high temperature and humidity group, (4) high temperature and humidity with gunshot wound group. Body temperature, respiratory rate, blood pressure and heart rate were recorded every 10 minutes until 6 hours later. Results The changes of body temperature and respiratory rate between the 4th group and other groups were significant. Compared with gunshot wound, the influence of high temperature and humidity were more important; the environment at high temperature and humidity accelerated circulatory collapse of cats with craniocerebral missile wound. Conclusion The environment at high temperature and humidity can significantly affect vital signs of the cats with craniocerebral missile wound.
