摘要
就英汉礼貌概念的文化起源而言,英语礼貌概念与法律文化和城市文化密切相关,而汉语礼貌概念源于'礼'或'礼仪'.另外,谦虚、热情、尊敬和友好准则是英汉礼貌均遵循的原则,但它们却存在同名异质之处.最后,词汇和句法是英汉礼貌的主要语言实现形式,但词汇和句法却都有其各自的语言规约性及文化特异性.
In terms of the cultural origin of the notion of politeness,in English,there was an apparent lexical relatedness between politeness and courton the one hand and city on the other.As for the politeness principles,the modesty,the attitudinal warmth,the respect and the being friendly are observed both in English and Chinese.However, they are often interpreted differently in these two languages.And finally, politeness is largely realized by languages esp. By lexicel items and syntactic structures,nontheless, some of them are universal,others are culturally or linguistically specific.
