摘要
第二语言习得理论强调语言输入的数量和质量对语言产出具有重大影响。采用实验方法探索网络英语作为输入资源在写作训练,特别是造句训练中的作用。实验的理论基础为语言习得理论的认知法,直接法和交际法。实验的指导思想是在造句训练中以学生为中心,让学生通过预先设计好的程序阅读、模仿、写作(交际)。实验结果表明,网络英语因其新、快、易、感染力强等特点能较大地激发学习者兴趣和热情。与其它英语资源相比,网络英语在词汇、句子表达方面对英文写作质量的提高效果更好。
Research in second and foreign language acquisition finds that the quantity and quality of input materials influence the result of the language learning performance.This experiment looks at the impact of Internet English as input sources on the acquisition and improvement of College EFL learners' writing skills.The theories,on which the experiment is based,include 1.the cognitive approach proposed by Carroll,Piaget and Chomsky,2.direct method proposed by Palmer,Vietor,Berlitz,Gouin,and Ogden,and 3.communicative approach proposed by Hymes and Wilkins.In selecting the input materials,I strictly observe Krashen's findings that the acquisition is realized when the level of the input materials is reasonably higher than the learners'.Efforts have been made to ensure the learnercentered practice in the whole process of the experimentreading,imitating,and writing in a controlled individual study project.The study finds that Internet English,because of its newness,easiness,impressiveness,brevity,clarity,and diversity,work better than Englishes in other forms in helping the learners to improve their writing skills in a wellplanned individual study program.The effect is especially salient at vocabulary and sentence level.
