The Role of Nucleus Ambiguus in Modulation of Cellular Immunity of Periaqueductal Gray (PAG) in Rabbits

摘要 本研究旨在探讨PAG的细胞免疫调节作用及其调节通路。实验用麻醉家兔,分两组进行。分别将其左侧疑核电解损毁(疑核损毁组)及在其左侧小脑或延脑背侧作电解损伤(对照损毁组)后,电刺激PAG,并分别于刺激前及后不同时间取外周血,测定T细胞百分率及对PHA的反应。发现刺激PAG可使对照损毁组外周血中的T细胞百分率及对PHA的反应均比刺激前升高或增强,而疑核损毁组外周血中的T细胞丰分率在刺激PAG前后无显著变化,对PAG的反应在刺激后比刺激前有所增强,但不如对照损毁组强烈。结果提示,PAG可由疑核介导参与调节细胞免疫机能。 The experiments were carried out on 3-4 months old and anesthetized rabbits to investigate the effect of electrical stimulation of PAG on cellular immunity as well as the neural pathways where by PAG modulate cellular immunity. The right nuclei ambiguus (Amb) of animals in one group (Amb-lesioned) were electrolysised, and the same sides of cereberallum or dorsal medulla oblongata of animals in another group (Control-lesioned) were lesioned in the same way followed by electrical stimulation of PAG of animals in both groups, and peripheral blood samples were taken before and 10, 60, 120 and 180 min after stimulation respectively to determine percen- tage of T cell and mitogenic response to phytohemagglutinin (PHA) . The results were: The percentage of T cell of Control-lesioned group was increased after stimulation compared with that of before stimulation, but that of amb-lesioned group had no significant change after stimulation compared with that of before stimulation. In comparision with before stimulation, the mitogenic response to PHA of Control-lesioned group was increased continuously after stimulation, that of Amb-lesioned group,however, was increased only 120 min after stimulation, It was suggested from the results that PAG played a role in modulation of cellular immunity, and the immunomodulation role of PAG was relayed at least partly by Amb.
