On the Subjective Faithfulness of Translation

法国当代翻译理论家阿尔比所提出的衡量译文忠实性的有关原则。翻译的“主体性”是“忠实”限制下的主体性 ,翻译的“忠实”亦是“主体性”

The paper discusses the relationship between the subj ec tivity and faithfulness of translation from angles of individuality of the trans lator, historical effects and aims of translation. It is based on the theory ori ginated from Albir, one of the modern transtologists of France, that faithfulnes s should deal with three main aspects: subjectivity of the translator, historic significance and functions of the translation.
