This paper introduces the means of reverse engineering data processing with CATIA Digital Shape Editor. With the sample, the paper explores a set of techniques about coordinate measuring machine scanning and outputting of the 3D points data, using professional software filters for processing the data, and finally it generates the surfaces and curves for CAD tool to remodel the workpiece.
