Design and Implementation of a Transport System Based on RTP for Video Streaming over the Internet

流媒体已经成为下一步网络应用的重要发展方向,而流媒体应用的特点决定了TCP并不适合作为它的传输协议,因而实时传输协议RTP应运而生,RTP/UDP在流媒体领域得到了广泛的应用。论文的主要工作在于实现了一个基于RTP协议的网络视频传输系统,并将其应用到作者自行开发的流媒体平台上,取得了良好的效果。论文首先介绍了RTP协议的概念和功能,然后重点介绍了基于RTP的网络视频传输系统的详细设计和具体实现,最后对系统进行了测试。

The application of video streaming has become a kind of important implementation for the Internet.Because of the characteristics of such applications TCP is not the suitable transport protocol,so occurs RTP(Real Time Trans-port Protocol).RTP/UDP has been widely now used as transport protocols for video streaming.This article discusses how we have designed and implemented a transport system with RTP as its basis,and how we have applied it to our plat-form for video streaming.First,we define RTP and illustrate its function.Then we talk about the designment and imple-mentation of the system in detail.In the end we test the system and then make a conclusion.
