摘要
从语言学、心理学和跨文化交际的角度看,英汉店铺名称用语的语言和文化特征明显不同。由此可以看出,店铺名称不仅是一种具有识别功能的符号系统,而且是一种反映东、西方民族特征的社会文化现象。
The present paper is intended to deal with the language and cultural characteristics of English and Chinese shop names' system from an angle of linguistics, psychology and crosscultural communication so as to show that shop names are treated not only as a sign system for identification but as a social and cultural phenomenon which reflects the similarities and differences between the oriental and western nations.
