公民的主体意识

On the Citizens′ Awareness of Citizenship

现代社会是契约社会。居民身份证从法律上进一步明确了公民的法律地位和政治地位。公民是现代意义上的概念,是权利和义务的统一体,公民的主体性是指公民在自己的对象性活动中所表现出来的特性,这是构建民主政治社会的基础性问题,它使公民意识到人民当家作主是社会主义民主政治的核心。公民的主体性意识应该包括:公民的权利意识、公民的参与意识、公民的平等意识等。

The modern society is contractual in nature, and according to law the citizen's ID cards further confirm their legal and political status in society. Citizenry is a concept which has significance in modern society and which is a combination of rights and obligations. Citizenship refers to the properties that are displayed in the citizens' activities, which are the basis of a democratic society. Awareness of this fact help citizens realize that they are masters of their own affairs and this is the core of socialist democracy and politics. Within their awareness of citizenship are included the awareness of their own rights, their participation and involvement in all social affairs and their awareness of equality.
