“六书”造字规律实为传统理论思维模式滥觞和原型 :在传统美学中 ,“美”的造字及会意思维 ,本身便包含着以味为美的原始审美观基本特征 ,并沿此合乎逻辑地发展出以和为美的思想 ;“美与善同意”乃造字上同源、思维方式同构之故 ;“诗言志”按形声思维理解 ,不过是“诗”的误读或讹传 ;儒家“天人合一”思想得益于形象思维 ;“道”及“意境说”
The author suggests that the law of the 'Six Ancient Categories of Chinese Characters' is actually the origin and prototype of the mode of thinking in traditional theories. He states that in traditional aesthetics, the character making and the thinking of associative compounds of '美(beauty)' contains the essential characteristics of the primitive aesthetic conceptions that take flavor as beauty, and the thinking of taking harmony as beauty is a logical way of development. The conception of 'beauty and kindness having the same meaning' arises from the same origin in its character making and the same formation in its mode of thinking. According to pictophonetic thinking, '诗言志 (poetry that expressing wishes)' is just the misreading or unfounded rumor of '诗(poetry)'. The Confucian idea of 'harmony of man with nature' benefits from the thinking in images; and '道(way)' and '意境说(artistic conception)'are based on the thinking in associative compounds.
