At the latter part of the middle Tang dynasty, HAN Yu carried on and developed earlier stage scholars' consciousness of appreciation of the ugly, used the experience of forefathers for reference, fitted in with the calling of the times, altered the former aesthetic standards, opened up the state of appreciation of the ugly in poetry creation. He influenced a generation aesthetic judgment fashion with unexpected and dangerous artistic conception and innovative format and humoristic art style.
