摘要
英语广告在商业领域和经济活动中的运用日益广泛 ,发挥着越来越重要的作用。对美国《时代周刊》英语广告词修辞格的文体分析结果表明 ,夸张、排比、修辞问句、头韵和重复是使用频率最高的五种 ,它们的表达效果与广告的文体功能融合地恰到好处。
English advertising is playing a very important role in economic activities nowadays.According to the author's stylistic analysis of figures of speech in English advertisements of Time ,hyperbole,parallelism, rhetorical question,alliteration,and repetition are the five most frequently used figures of speech that help well in fulfilling the stylistic functions of English advertisements.
