On Zhang Taiyan's "Fogyish Nationalism" and the Present Popularity of the "Court Drama" of the Qing Dynasty

基于对风行一时的清宫戏的思考,不禁联想到国学大师章太炎,在目前这个汉民族意识式微的年代,曾被当年革命者认为已经落伍的章太炎的民族主义思想,却很可能对汉民族意识的重新定位有着强烈的现实意义。

In association of the declination of the Han nationality consciousness as is reflected by the popularity of the 'court drama' of the Qing Dynasty, this article argues that under such circumstances, Zhang Taiyan nationalist thoughts, which were regarded as 'fogyish' by the revolutionists of his time, might have great realistic significance in re - orientating the Han nationality consciousness.
