About the WTO and the Supervision of Local People' s Congress

文章认为,我国加入WTO后,地方人大监督工作的首要任务是加强对地方立法的监督,保证国家承诺的兑现,维护国家经济安全。还要进一步改进和完善地方人大监督工作,促进政府转变职能,建立新的地方经济管理模式。

After China's entry into the WTO, the main tasks of the local people's congress should be to supervise the local legislation, ensure the fulfillment of the government's promises and maintain the safety of economy. To complete the tasks, the local people' s congress should strengthen its supervision function so as to promote the establishment of a healthy local economic management system.
