社会学家认为 ,城市化是农村人口向城市聚集的过程。按照西方发展经济学家的观点 ,城市化就是农村劳动力向城镇转移的过程。他们在研究发展中国家的现代化问题时得出一种解释 ,发展中国家的现代化主要是解决农业劳动力转移的问题。在这一方案下 ,现代化与城市化是同一过程。然而 ,当今发展中国家的现代化是一个不同文化、不同社会制度的急进化过程。因此 ,在城市化进程中 ,农业劳动力转移不仅仅是一个经济现象 ,有必要针对“理性选择”等问题对其进行社会学意义上的解释。

The sociology believes that city trend is a process in which the rural population pour into the city.According to the view of the western development economists, it is a process in which therural labors transfer to the town .When they study the modernlization of the developing countries ,they have got a conclusion that the modernlization of the developing countries is mainly to solvethe problem of transferring the rural labors .With this scheme, modernlization and city trend are inthe same process.However, nowadays ,the modernlization of the developing countries is a rapidprocess with different culture and different social institutions.To this point, it especially embodiesin the process of the socialism modernlization of China's own character.Therefore, transferring rural labors in the city trend process is not a simple economic phenomenon , but also necessary to explain the problem of sensible choice in terms of sociology.
