桂家事迹新考

A New Textual Research on Deed of The GUI Clan

桂家的族属及其事迹是一个牵涉到西南边疆史、华侨史和中缅关系史的重大问题。作者通过对涉及桂家的中文史料进行的系统整理分析，认为清代系统而详实的实录、档案等大量的史料，都说明桂家是“夷人”，并非华人移民集团。从史料中对大山银厂的记载来看，桂家也没有据银厂采银。桂家最后归附中国，被安置到新疆乌鲁木齐附近和云南楚雄。

:The clan belonging and deed of the Gui clan are significant issues that involve histories of southwest frontier of China, overseas Chinese and Sino-Burma relation. Through a systematic arrangement and analysis on written historical resources in Chinese involving the Gui clan, the author believes that the Gui clan belongs to foreign group, not Chinese emigrant group. According to the record of the Dashan silver plant, the Gui clan did not occupy the plant and mine the silver. The clan submitted to the authority of China at last and was settled to the area near Wulumuqi of Sinkiang and to Chuxiong of Yunnan.
