摘要
戊戌政变发生后,湖南的教育革新受到顿挫与厄抑,但是在这种反动局面之下仍有许多趋新的特色存在,并且不仅限于教育领域。这一趋新特色的存在有着浓厚的社会原因,虽在当时表现为一种暗潮,却代表了社会发展前进的趋势和潮流。而新旧之争是认识当时社会上顿挫与趋新特点的关键。
This article's opinions illustrated that there was a pause in educational innovating of Hunan after Wuxu Coup, and also there were some new characters in educational field at the same. Many deep social reasons caused these new characters to appear. Though the new characters showed a kind of potential flowing, they represented the current of social development and progress. Nevertheless, the disputing between the new and the old was a key to grasp the social characteristic of pause and new trend at that time.
