文化差异是翻译中的障碍和难题。要在两种语言之间进行翻译,必须了解两种文化,深刻理解两种文化之间的差异。只有这样,才能使翻译不仅在语言意义上等值,而且在文化意义上贴切、对等。本文从地域文化、习俗文化、历史文化和宗教文化等方面,阐释了因中西文化差异在进行汉英翻译时一些棘手难症的种种表现,并针对其中的一些问题提出了相应的解决办法。

This article, in view of the cultural difference between China and the West, puts forward the problems to be focused in Chinese-English translation from the aspects of regional culture, conventional culture, historical culture and religious culture, etc.
