无论在人类历史还是现实社会中 ,平凡的小人物都做着自己的成功之梦。在大多数情况下 ,正直善良而又一贫如洗的底层人物总是摆脱不了由追求到彷徨再到幻灭这一人生轨迹。祥子与马丁 ,这中美文学史上两个典型人物形象自我奋斗的意蕴及其悲剧的实质就在这里。

Ordinary unimportant figures always have their success dreams no matter in the history of human being or in the actual reality.In most cases,honest and kind heated poor people at the bottom of the society can not escape the life experience from struggle to hesitation to disillusionment.In this article the author makes an analysis about the implication of the self struggle of two typical figures, Xiangzi and Martin in the history of Chinese and American literature.
