Engels' later years were just the transition period while capitalism turned from free competition to monopoly. Then there happened many great changes. Engels sharply observed the new changes of capitalism and seriously studied and inquired into them and put forward a series of new theoretic views. It may deepen our understanding of the theoretic quality of Marxist thought of advance with the time to study Engels' new development to Marxism in his later years.
